Biography:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neşe Mehmetoğlu is a faculty member in the Department of Public Health at Malatya Turgut Özal University Faculty of Medicine and the Founding Director of the Arapgir Health Development Center (ASGM). She graduated from Hacettepe University in 2007 and completed her PhD in 2017 at İnönü University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Public Health.
Dr. Mehmetoğlu serves as a journal editor and editorial board member for numerous academic journals. She has taken part in national and international projects on healthy aging, and she is the project coordinator of Malatya Turgut Özal University’s “Renewal University” (Tazelenme Üniversitesi) initiative.
As the lead architect of the Arapgir Model, she bridges the gap between academic research and local government implementation. Her work focuses on utilizing the “Living Lab” (Yaşayan Laboratuvar) methodology to turn academic research into actionable, community-driven health solutions. With a commitment to evidence-based practice, she facilitates multidisciplinary collaborations among national and international stakeholders to advance the global longevity agenda.
