Biography:
Dr. Gholam Mujtaba, M.Sc., M.D., Ed.D., FRSPH, FICPS, is a physician, educator, public-health scholar, policy analyst, and Chairman of the Pakistan Policy Institute USA. His multidisciplinary career spans medicine, pharmacology, public health, higher education, government service, and international policy engagement.
He previously taught pharmacology at the University of Karachi and served as President of the Pharmacy Teachers Association of Pakistan. His public-service experience has included service as a Provincial Advisor in Sindh, Pakistan. With advanced academic training undertaken in Pakistan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Dr. Mujtaba holds qualifications in medicine, education, and the health sciences and is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health. His doctoral scholarship has also examined leadership and governance. Through PPI-USA and his wider professional work, he promotes dialogue among healthcare professionals, academics, policymakers, legislators, diplomats, and community leaders. His principal interests include global public health, health-system resilience, preventive medicine, health education, governance, healthcare diplomacy, and the role of international cooperation in addressing transnational health challenges.
