Biography:
Ida M. Nikjeh graduated with a Human Biology (BS) at the University of California San Diego. Her work focuses on potential targeting therapies of atherogenesis, a fatal contributor to cardiovascular disease. She has previous experience of working as a National Cancer Institute scholar focusing on cancer disparities, as well as direct work in healthcare as a phlebotomist and as an emergency medical technician. She plans to attend medical school in order to improve disparities in patient care.
