Prof. Francisco Mayorga Marin

Biography:

Francisco Mayorga Marin  is a Professor and researcher at CIES/UNAN Managua, Nicaragua. Master in Epidemiology and Public Health (2015, 2016), candidate for Doctor in Health Sciences. He is the coordinator of the Master's Degree in Epidemiology. He has accompanied research processes in the areas of epidemiology of communicable diseases, social epidemiology and health systems at a national and international level. He has been the author of scientific articles and book chapters, as well as a tutor and advisor in more than 60 postgraduate research projects in public health, epidemiology, health administration and occupational health. He has been certified in continuing education programs at Drexel University, UNIR, INCAP, PAHO/WHO, Johns Hopkins University, Osaka and Imperial College London. His areas of knowledge focus on biostatistics, social determinants of health, epidemiology of communicable diseases and social epidemiology; all with a mainly quantitative approach.
