Biography:
AbulKalam M. Shamsuddin, M.D., Ph.D., is President of IP-6 Research, Inc. in Lutherville, Maryland, USA, and a Visiting Professor at Coppin State University, Baltimore. He is also Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer of OncoVue, Inc., a company advancing early cancer detection technologies.
Dr. Shamsuddin earned his M.B., B.S. from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, specializing in carcinogenesis. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology and completed postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and University of Maryland Hospitals.
With decades of experience, his research focuses on carcinogenesis, cancer chemoprevention, early detection, and regulation of cell growth and differentiation, including studies on inositol and inositol phosphates. He has held senior academic and research roles at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the National Cancer Institute.
Dr. Shamsuddin continues to bridge research and clinical applications, mentoring scientists and advancing innovative strategies in cancer prevention worldwide.
