Biography:
Dr. Aini Syahida Mat Yassim is a Malaysian scientist specializing in immunology, virology, and molecular biology. She earned her PhD from the University of Queensland in 2019 and previously worked at Biovalence SDN BHD. As the main author, she contributed to research on RetroMAD1's efficacy against SARS-CoV-2, the D614G mutation in Malaysia, and SARS-CoV-2 genomic variations, identifying key viral lineages. Now a postdoctoral researcher at Universiti Sains Malaysia, she played a key role in a 22-month study on COVID-19 vaccine-induced immunity, revealing sustained IgG and IgA responses post-booster.
