Camila is a respected Associate Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), specializing in medical-surgical nursing. She completed the Postdoctoral Program at the Federal University of Alfenas. Her qualifications include specialties in medical-surgical nursing from UNIFESP, biomedical engineering, and applied physiology, as well as expertise in iron therapies and medical ozone therapy. As the creator of the Risk Assessment Scale (ELPO), Camila has developed a crucial tool for evaluating risks related to surgical positioning, which has gained international validation in 17 countries. She is committed to improving patient care quality and has over 21 years of experience in nursing education. She specializes in nursing practices during the perioperative period, focusing on patient safety. Camila actively contributes to several professional organizations, including the Brazilian Society of Nurses in Surgical Centers (SOBECC) and the Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN).
