Lois King

Biography:

Lois is a PhD alumna and Master of Public Health graduate at the University of Edinburgh, UK. She conducted mixed methods research in global health governance and health systems analysis. Lois also has experience working as an associate consultant at Impact for Health International, working with various organizations such as the World Health Organization, the Gates Foundation, USAID, and more.

 

She is also an advocate of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), as a survivor of the rare neurological autoimmune disease, working as a consultant with The Sumaira Foundation. An avid writer, she has had articles published in BMJ, Nature Medicine, Think Global Health, BBC Science Focus, and more.

 

She loves science communication and has recently started the podcast 'NotiPHied,' all about making global public health accessible. Lois supports health systems strengthening and ensuring that equitable access to quality care is made a global reality.
