Biography:
Mohammed Albreiki is a section head, clinical scientist, and medical researcher at the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, with experience spanning clinical laboratories, biosecurity, applied research, epidemiological investigation, laboratory quality, and One Health systems. He currently leads reference laboratory functions at the WOAH Collaborating Center for Camel Disease and WOAH Collaborating Center for Quality Management Systems, including disease investigation, laboratory test development, international accreditation planning, scientific research, technical consultation, and capacity building.
He previously served as acting director of the Applied Research Division at ADAFSA, supporting applied scientific studies, research partnerships, and technology transfer for agriculture, food safety, and biosecurity priorities.
His professional background includes postdoctoral and clinical scientist roles at Khalifa University and Al Ain Hospital, with leadership roles in ISO 15189, COVID-19 testing, national SARS-CoV-2 sequencing, bioinformatics, proficiency testing, and laboratory operations.
He holds a PhD in Biomedical Science and an MSc in International Healthcare Management and Clinical Biochemistry, and has contributed to national and international research, conferences, One Health initiatives, AMR, CCHF, PPR, MERS-CoV, and biosecurity programs
