Biography:
Dr. Olarinde Olaniran is a Medical Microbiologist at the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, College of Health Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Parasitology and has extensive experience in clinical microbiology, infectious disease research, and laboratory-based public health investigations. His research focuses on parasitic and microbial infections, particularly malaria, toxoplasmosis, hepatitis B and C co-infections, and antimicrobial resistance. His work also examines environmental and behavioural factors influencing infectious disease transmission and public health outcomes in Nigeria. Dr. Olaniran has authored and co-authored numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals and several academic books. He has presented his research at multiple international scientific conferences and contributes to the scientific community as a reviewer and editorial board member for several biomedical journals. His work supports improved disease surveillance, diagnostics, and evidence-based strategies for infectious disease control.
