Dr. Robert Bransfield is a distinguished psychiatrist and a leading expert in the field of neuropsychiatry, with a focus on the intersection of infectious diseases and mental illness. He earned his B.A. from Rutgers University in 1968 and his M.D. from George Washington University of Medicine in 1972. His career includes extensive clinical practice in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and multiple academic appointments, including as a Clinical Associate Professor at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. As a prominent voice on Lyme disease, he is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has been recognized with awards such as the "Pioneer in Lyme Disease Award".
