Biography:
Professor Yun-Chul Hong has main interest in epidemiological research in the area of environmental health, smart health and health policy, particularly environmental and genetic effects on chronic disease such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension and obesity. Currently he is the chair of the Department of Human Systems Medicine, Seoul National University College of Medicine in Korea. He had served as Director of Smart Healthcare R&D, Korea Health Promotion Institute during 2019~2025. He had also served as the President of the Korea Academy of Preventive Medicine during 2022-2023. He has been working as a WHO consultant for many years and have experiences with various international policy organizations such as UN Environment, CCAC and UNICEF.
